New Year, Fresh Start

As I write this, a giant storm nicknamed “the bomb cyclone” is barreling straight for the San Francisco Bay Area and the windows of our house are flecked with the first (of many forecasted) raindrops. I burned the index and pointer fingers on my right hand this morning while making coffee, and now none of my electrical devices recognize me. How’s your new year going so far?

I hope you were able to rest during the holiday season. We visited family in LA, where I ate this gorgeous sandwich from new-ish restaurant Bub and Grandma’s. Isn’t that rainbow of pickled vegetables, avocado, and curried tofu beautiful? Here’s to lots more delicious food (and fewer burns) in 2023!
